Our First Dog Pack Outing

Last Sunday, we piloted our first-ever K9YA program dog pack outing at Occidental College—and it was a success! Six program dogs enjoyed a stroll around campus, practiced loose-leash walking, participated in group enrichment activities, and indulged in plenty of sniffing adventures. A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers and the LAAS North Central staff for making this special outing possible and for their unwavering care for the dogs. Here’s to many more pack outings ahead!

January

Happy 2024! As we embrace the fresh start of the new year, we're eager for the opportunities and connections the coming year will bring.

Looking back, 2023 was an impactful year for K9 Youth Alliance! We successfully hosted four programs, including two Positive Youth Development Series and two Positive Enrichment Series. Between these initiatives, non-program youth participants, and youth outreach events, we reached over 310 students and over 50 dogs! Our incredible volunteers, numbering over 50, generously donated more than 2,000 hours to the kids-helping-dogs-helping-kids cause. Additionally, we organized two mobile pet adoption events in collaboration with RevCycle, providing four dogs with over 40 hours of advocacy and enrichment in the community.

We sincerely thank you for your unwavering support in our mission to enrich the lives of local youth and homeless shelter dogs. Here's to another year of positive impact and meaningful connections in 2024! 💙
