KRISTA GOODSITT

DOG TRAINING INSTRUCTOR

Originally from Phoenix, AZ, Krista’s love of animals and her drive to understand them on a deeper level was always central to her life. As a young adult, Krista adopted her first rescue dogs and her passion for canine behavior and motivation only grew. Inspired by this and a desire to help provide the kind of training and help she sought but failed to find for her own dogs’ behavioral challenges, she enrolled in the Animal Behavior College to become a Certified Dog Trainer with a focus on reactivity and problem behaviors. Her passion drove her to earn additional certification from the Certification Council for Pet Dog Trainers (CCPDT).  As one of some 300 nation-wide, Krista is a CCPDT Certified Behavior Consultant and has helped countless pet dogs and their people find a happier relationship through training and understanding each other.

Krista initially volunteered with K9 Youth Alliance in one of its first-ever programs in 2016. Due to her dedication to the mission and keen understanding of canine behavior, she was quickly brought on in several capacities, from Canine Assistant to her current role as its lead Dog Training Instructor.  In her free time, Krista and her wonder pup Duncan can be found back country hiking, white water kayaking, rock climbing and teaching each other some new tricks.
